NextFuel at the 14th Hellenic Scientific Conference of Chemical Engineering (2024)

The NextFuel project was proudly presented by CERTH partners at the 14th Hellenic Scientific Conference of Chemical Engineering, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 29–31 May 2024.
During the event, A.M. Moustaka, A. Akac, A. Anagnostopoulou, and V. Kappatos delivered a presentation entitled “The Next Shipping Fuel: Electrifying Steam Methane Reforming for Biomethanol Production.”

Their contribution highlighted NextFuel’s innovative approach to developing sustainable methanol through electrified reforming technologies, showcasing the project’s potential to drive decarbonisation and green transformation in the maritime sector.
